Clavo huasca (Tynnanthus panurensis) is a large, woody vine that grows up to 80 m long, produces very small white flowers (which are pollinated by bees and butterflies) and elongated, flat, bean-like fruits.

What is huasca clove and what is it for?
“Huasca clove” refers to a medicinal plant found mainly in the Amazon region of South America. Its scientific name is Tynanthus panurensis.
It has been used in traditional medicine for various purposes, and aphrodisiac, anti-inflammatory and stimulating properties are attributed to it. In particular, it has been used as a tonic to improve energy and sexual performance.
How is the clove huasca prepared?
It is often prepared as an infusion (tea) with the bark of the plant. A basic recipe for an infusion is between 1-2 tablespoons of dried bark, letting it boil and rest for 10-15 minutes. You can sweeten the infusion with honey. or some other sweetener if you prefer.
